Sunday February 25th, 2007 Welch Village

Date & Location: Sunday February 25th, 2007 Welch Village
Snow & Weather: 28 degrees 10" FRESHIES
Vertical feet & runs: 8,030 feet 25 runs
Comments: Rode with Glen, Roley, Terra, Pete, Vicki, Jeff, DBD, Christina, Pope, Nate, Skiier Shaun. We got up early and got to Welch at 9:30am. We rode 10" freshies, it was a great day. I was totally having BFGSC withdrawals from Tahoe and these guys gave me my fix. I love these guys. It was surprisingly fun after Tahoe but I guess 10" of snow will do that. I am back in for the Michigan trip. Any further references from guest commentary about hoovers are completely fabricated. Now we are off to King's then possibly a pit stop at BRAAAAIIIIIINS.
Guest commentary:
Pete: Rode in the fresh 9 inches of powder that Welch welcomed us back with. How sweet!! Took hot Vicki and Terra into the park and they got some sick air. Watched Matt get vacuumed off the chairlift...OK maybe some of it was my fault...sorry Matt. Good times, really missed my BFGSC buddies. So nice to see them again.
CJ: Pow at Welch! I don't know if I have ever been at Welch for lift open on a weekend and didn't have a sparks before riding. It was kind of weird. And I am no longer the reigning champ of the Hoover Club at Welch!! Matt was nice enough to take the title from me on the triple chair.
Vicki: Definitely went through the BFGSC withdrawals this week after Tahoe- great to hang with everyone today again. I think this was the earliest I've been to Welch on a weekend- 9:15am for the fresh pow- great day! Went in the park for the first time, very fun. Morning was great but got a little too much of a Sparks buzz in afternoon...went downhill fast too many bathroom breaks- I love these guys- can't wait for the East Side Rally next weekend!!
Glen: Snow, beer, Sparks, Buds,Beer, Welch, Oreck, and Beer!
Pope: Kirby fell off trying to get on the chairlift. I had Sparks and beers for lunch, then lost my friends so I thought it would be cool to go down Ski Bob and the "special" half pipe but I pretty much just fell down a bunch of times.
Roley: Drove in shitty conditions to arrive to see all good snow tracked. Found a few. Can't eve believe all of the f**kin work skiers & boarders that left tracks down these runs that didn't eve have turns. Huge smack talkin bout Rally & tellin songs bout Hoot bowling, dread going home to have to watch stupid awards show. One more bucket please!! F.U.
Terra: Matt sucks-as in "the chairlift-is-a-vacuum-cleaner" kind of way. Love ya!
